If I could have a chance to be a tree,
To stand and observe,
To see,
To bear witness and not comment,
Endure and not complain,
Give shelter and shade,
Stand in grace and age.
But to be a man, sometimes,
Is none of those things.
So, forgive me please for being a man.
It’s all that I am.
